| These people sell reprints of rare esoteric works and are a very good source for books on Freemasonry. They carry many of the works of Albert Pike including MORALS AND DOGMA. Before I ever had a computer, I ordered their books from their printed catalog. I ordered through my local bookstore. One can do it this way, but now they have a web site with a listing of all their books and a convenient way to search for title and author. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is a place that has the entire text of MORALS AND DOGMA online. If you do not mind reading for hours on a computer screen, this is a convenient way to read this book. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is a fun and interesting site to visit. This is the home of "Captain Pick a Card" (James Wanless). He is the inventor of a modern version of the tarot deck. It still retains the old traditional wisdom, but it is designed in such a way as to appeal to modern persons, especially now in our time of computers and space travel. His deck is available in stores or online for sale along with various books to explain it. He personally travels about the country to give lectures, readings, and demonstrations of this deck. I have seen him several times and find him a lively and fascinating person. I prefer his deck to all others. If you visit his site, try his "card of the day" (free). Click and see what you get. See what message the Force has for you. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is the personal web site of my best friend, Mrs. Vader (otherwise known as Loretta Anakin Skywalker). This site contains her personal views of the Star Wars movies both religious and political. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This one is a discussion forum of the Sith. This one directly relates to the Star Wars movies although there is also some real life discussions. To join in these discussions, you must become a member. Think of a name to call yourself and follow the instructions. This person also has a main site. I have been there awhile now and find that it is developing nicely. It has grown quite a bit since I first came on there. This site's strongest point is its sense of balance. It goes into mystical and real life themes yet has retained a strong connection to the Star Wars films, which unfortunately has been lost on some other Sith sites. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is the main page that goes with the above forum. It is designed and run by the same person. When you go there, you are first greeted by a little mini-movie. It is a music video with a Star Wars theme and it is extremely funny. It may take time to load but is worth the wait. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is a Jedi discussion forum. They retain a strong connection to the movie while at the same time developing things beyond the Star Wars films. These are people who are trying to be Jedi in real life. Some carry this further than others, even including the martial arts side of it. You will need to sign on to join in these discussions. Think of a name to call yourself. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is a discussion forum that features both Jedi and Sith. Up until recently, Jedi and Sith were pretty much segregated from each other. Now they tend to overlap somewhat. This is a good board to sign onto if you are curious about the other side, and you would like to compare notes. Many of the people here have other memberships on either Jedi or Sith sites. The main emphasis here is that the Force is one Force, and that the separation into Light, Dark, or whatever is superficial. As is typical with these message boards, you need to come up with a name for yourself and sign up. This site has no ranks. It is more of a round table. Simply identify yourself as Jedi or Sith. Both real life and the movie are talked about here as well as the esoteric and martial arts. The site's founder is himself a martial artist. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
THE NEW WORLD OF DISCUSSION FORUMS: |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There was a time back in the 1980's when communicating with someone in another country meant standing in line at the post office, paying extra postage for overseas mail, and waiting two or three weeks for a reply. When I was a political activist back in those days, communication with 100 people spread across the nation (and perhaps a few in other countries), involved making a home made newsletter (called a "zine"), using an old-fashioned typewriter and a Xerox machine, and mailing it to the persons on your list. It was time consuming and expensive.
Ironically, now that I am no longer into political activism, the means of communication exists that I would have killed for back then. But just the same, for the first time in my life, I have been experiencing the wonders of new communications technology. I can discuss whatever is on my mind with people spread across the world who are into the same subject, and I don't have to wait for mailing times. |

THE ONLINE WORLD OF JEDI AND SITH: |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| For many years I have believed in the Force and have taken the Star Wars movies to heart. I had my own individual interpretation of what the Jedi and Sith were. Only recently have I been comparing notes with others. This has been since communicating online. I started with one forum membership and then spread out in order to get a wider scope of views and comparisons. There are other people out there who wish to either be Sith or Jedi in real life. They discuss the Force, and they compare Jedi and Sith to earth religions of the past and present.
Some people choose either Sith or Jedi and have nothing to do with the other. Some people do a bit of both, even though they usually favor one over the other. Since Episode III came out, there has been more of a cross-pollination of the two. This is probably because in Episode III, the similarities of the Sith and Jedi are emphasized. There is several varieties of online Jedi such as "Light," "Shadow," "Dark," "Realist," etc. I am only beginning to get a grasp of the definitions of the different kinds. Unlike the movie, they are not one monolithic group. They have denominations just like churches. They can disagree, sometimes strongly (I've seen a few spats.) They also do not match the Jedi of the movie exactly. For example, online Jedi are not all celibate. Fortunately they have not imitated all that was negative about the Jedi in the movie. They are starting with a clean slate. I am very curious to see how they develop over the years. The Sith are a newer development. The reason is obvious. The term "Sith" did not exist until 1999 in Episode I. It took awhile for the basic framework of what a Sith is to develop. Sith forums got going in more recent times, and they too are going through their various stages of development. I am waiting to see how Sith develops. Right now there are some distinctly different views as to what it is and should be. We may end up with different denominations of Sith, but it is too early to tell yet. I encourage all those who are curious about this new world to check it out. If you have any questions as to how to approach it (like if you never did anything like this before and wonder how to get started), feel free to e-mail me and ask. |
