| This was a school assignment. We were asked to design a stamp for an island nation whose main export was ginseng. I looked up ginseng and found that is is grown in high elevations in cool climates; therefore the island would have to be in the northern climate areas. Ginseng is nicknamed the "man root," hence the name I chose. I gave it a medieval theme. The landscape was composed of three separate pictures which I melded together. The horse was brown, but I changed his color to tan so he would stand out better. The castle was added. I spelled out "manroot" in runes. I decided runic was the alphabet of this country. It was all done in Adobe Photoshop. |
