Home STAR WARS: The Big Picture STAR WARS: Episode III Other

Now the Star Wars saga is complete. Episodes I-III remind me of a book I read. The book was called MORALS AND DOGMA by Albert Pike. Do not get fooled by the title. This book was not as bad as the title sounds. It was written in 1871. This book covers religion, politics, and philosophy. Albert Pike covers many religions not just Christianity. The Egyptian religion is there as well as the Persian, and the Kabbalah is covered. Albert Pike was a Freemason. He also was a lawyer for American Indians against the government to try and get their lands back or at least monetary compensation.

The sister book to MORALS AND DOGMA is MAGNUM OPUS. In MORALS AND DOGMA, Albert Pike talks about a man who was a good man; but due to circumstances beyond his control, the man turns into a pirate and robs on the high seas. Pirates in the 1800's were as real as bank robbers today. After Pike tells you how this man became a pirate, he reminds the reader not to condemn the man too quickly, stating all have their breaking point; and anyone can be tempted and go to the Dark Side under the right circumstances. Pike, like a genius, reminds us not to be smug and think "that can never be me."
