| Lucas is like Socrates. This section is a tribute to George Lucas for inventing Star Wars. The first trilogy IV-VI was pure entertainment genius. The second trilogy I-III was the courage of Socrates.
In ancient Greece Socrates had the courage to question and criticize the society and the bad regime of his time. George Lucas in the tradition of Socrates is questioning our society. Why does this good person go bad, and how responsible is society around Anakin? For a shy guy, Lucas comes out swinging. It is clear that Vader is not born bad but made that way by those around Vader. Anakin/Vader is exposed to nothing but a rotting society of false self-righteousness; and because Anakin sees through the facade of his society, he becomes Darth Vader.
George Lucas has made a lot of money as a result of making Star Wars, but I hope he receives more than that. For someone to actually tell the truth in a society built on lies, commands great respect. I wish I could shake George Lucas' hand to say the least.
