STUDIO CLASSES

Classes bring together students of similar abilities to discuss performance aspects better suited to group instruction than to individual lessons. Past sessions have focused on stage deportment (What do you do with your hands? What do you do with your eyes?), song interpretation (character, scene, history, form), and general practice guidelines. Classes are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

THE PHYSIOLOGY OF STAGE FRIGHT

What causes nervousness? There is a physiological reason it happens. Human evolution has built 'fight or flight' right into our wiring. Can we overcome it? How do you go about that?

These sessions are dry-runs for my workshops presentation in Toronto this summer and are free to my current students. $5 for others.

There are four sessions, all held at the studio:

DEVELOPING A BACK STORY FOR YOUR SONG

I have a master plan for developing songs. We will look at back story, physical layout, body use, voice use, and many other things you never thought you'd think about in working on a song.

This session is free to my current students. $5 for others.

One session only: April 15th, 2:30 pm.

A Special Weekend Session

Are you an Attorney? Politician? Teacher?
Meeting Presenter?

Do you have to speak as part of your professional life?

Can you be heard? Does it take everything you have to address people?

This long weekend session will be an introduction on how to unlock the natural ease and power of your voice. Intended for those not currently my students. And you don't have to sing a note. More information at a later date. But contact me if you are interested. I may incorporate your specific concerns into the program.
